“Success = Achieving Your Goal.” With effective scientific and cognitive programs in exam success, it is possible for individuals to achieve success at the highest level of their own potential. In other words, academic success does not mean getting 60 or 80 out of 100. It is not in our hands to change the exam systems in Turkey and sometimes in international exams, but it is in our hands to ensure that our children are prepared for these exams in the most effective way and are successful in these exams within the scope of the programs we implement. We only need one thing to be successful. “Work”. As Aziz Sancar said, “I believe in work, not intelligence.” Yes, it is necessary to work, but it is necessary to work effectively and according to the characteristics of the process leading to the goal. For this, first of all, it is necessary to support the individual in using his resources well and correctly within the framework of effective and correct strategies developed through time and technology, and programs that systematically exercise attention and concentration.

My attention is distracted very quickly during exams. What can I do?

In recent years, attention deficit has been emphasized a lot in our country. It is critical to share strategies and suggestions with our youth, especially on how students preparing for exams can focus their attention more and increase their attention span. Attention problems can cause different levels of performance loss, lack of motivation and difficulty in understanding in young people. Since young people with attention deficit cannot use their naturally existing capacities and as a result, their academic failure rates increase, it is very important for them to learn attention strategies. Learning strategies are “the processes that students use to learn on their own. Students who can provide their own learning are defined as “strategic learners” in the literature. Attention is the most important process that ensures that the information coming from the environment that is necessary for the individual is transferred to short-term memory. Therefore, the first function that needs to be fulfilled in education is to clarify and increase the student’s attention. A strategic child or young person uses the most appropriate attention strategies after determining the purpose of the learning process.
